“For no natter how many promises God has made they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God” . . . 2 Corinthians 1:20
Sweet & Spicy Beef and Broccoli w/ Coconut Rice is the perfect blend of a little sweetness and spice and everything that is full of flavor.
Growing up I didn’t eat much Asian food. Actually, I don’t remember eating it until I started dating my husband. Then my cultural palate began to open to many other diverse cuisines.
There are so many different varieties of Asian fare out in our massive world that it can be quite an adventure. Although a lot of their recipes have a considerable amount of ingredients, the cooking technique is usually pretty quick and easy to prepare.
Lucky for us, there aren’t a lot of ingredients for Sweet & Spicy Beef and Broccoli.
What is Sweet & Spicy Beef and Broccoli?
Sweet & Spicy Beef and Broccoli is shaved beef in a sweet and spicy sauce with tender broccoli.
I serve this dish with a creamy coconut rice that is out of this world. Don’t let coconut give you panic (especially if you are not fond of it). The coconut milk adds creaminess to the rice with just a hint of coconut. If I didn’t tell you there was coconut milk in the rice, you wouldn’t even know if it was there. 😜
Where Do I Get All the Ingredients?
Shaved Ribeye: I get the shaved Ribeye in the meat department of my local grocery store. It is usually packaged in either 12 oz or 16 oz.
You can also find large packages of the shave ribeye at Costco. Perfect if you are doubling this recipe.
Coconut Milk, Sriracha Sauce, Sweet Chili Sauce and Soy Sauce: All of these ingredients can be found in the international or Asian aisle of your local grocery store.
Jasmine Rice- this rice can be found where your store sells all the packages of dried rice and beans.

Mama Fawn’s Tips . . .
- Once you see the water and coconut milk come to a low boil, you want to stir in the rice or the milk could boil over.
- When you turn the heat off the rice, do not remove the pan from the burner. It will still simmer a little and continue to cook.
- You can find coconut milk in the international/Asian food aisle of your grocery store.
- I use shaved ribeye steak for this recipe because it’s the only beef I can find in my meat department that is already shaved. It has plenty of flavor and the perfect fat content for this dish.
- I use jasmine rice because of the texture and nuttiness of the rice. You can use any rice that will cook within the 30 minute cooking time.
- Sweet Chili Sauce and sriracha can be found in the Asian food aisle of the grocery store.
- Want a spicier dish? Add more sriracha. 🌶️
- Depending if you like crisp-tender veggies or tender veggies will depend on how long your cooking time will be. Adjust the time accordingly from the recipe.
