Tuna Melt Quesadillas are cross between their name sake. Creamy tuna and melty cheese in a flour tortilla. The perfect sandwich for lunch or quick dinner.
So Why a Tuna Melt Quesadilla?
One of my favorite sandwiches is the Tuna Melt.
The first time I ever had a Tuna Melt was at a local restaurant when I was in my early 20’s. I had just gotten married and this place called Harvard Square was near the house I grew up in. It was fairly new and we wanted to try it out. It had a reputation of having great ice cream and my family loves ice cream.
The menu had your typical sandwiches, soups and salads which is one of my favorite kinds of places to eat at and had great ‘vibes’. They had a Tuna Melt on the menu, never had one and decided to try one. It was absolutely delish!
I don’t really see them on a lot of menus but when I do, I order one.
. . . And a Quesadilla?
You pretty much can make anything into a quesadilla. It’s just a stuffed, grilled sandwich.
I put these two ‘sandwiches’ together because It makes an easy and fun meal. The whole sandwich is made in 10 minutes or less.

- Drain the tuna well.
- I like american cheese on a tuna melt so this is what I use for this recipe but feel free to use any melty cheese.
- Low fat mayonnaise will work for this quesadilla.
- To make little appetizer size or child size quesadillas, use the street size tortillas with smaller amounts of tuna.
- Keep an eye on the tortillas while they are cooking so that they don’t burn.
