Creamy Shrimp Dip

Creamy Shrimp Dip

Return to me’, declares the Lord Almighty, “and I will return to you’, says the Lord Almighty. . .” Zechariah 1:3b

Creamy Shrimp Dip is one of those appetizers that not only is quite easy to prepare but it is so so delicious. Creamy, cheesy, shrimp, what could be bad about this dip?

One of my favorite get together meals is having a myriad of appetizers.  I like having a lot of different tastes and textures and even a wide selection of cuisines at one setting.  Being able to take a little of this and a lot of that really makes my taste buds very pleased.

I actually have to confess something about this dip…I’ve made it 3 times before I found what I liked.  I made it first for my birthday dinner and I received thumbs up but I wasn’t impressed.  Actually, I didn’t care for it at all.  Although everyone said it was good, I didn’t think it was great.  I wanted great, so I made it again, tweaking some ingredients.  It was better but not great.  I decided to wait a couple of weeks before I tried it again.  Thought about it and thought about it, which I do when I’m obsessed with a recipe. And I finally found the perfect recipe.  Whew!!!!

I think you are going to really like Creamy Shrimp Dip.  I think you are going to want to serve this at your next get together so you can wow your friends.  Serve it with crackers or toast.

Mama Fawn’s Tips

  •  When you finish cooking the shrimp, drain and make sure they are cooled before mixing into the cheese mixture.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened.  This will make it easy for you to combine all the ingredients.
  • Want to use other types of cheese?  As long as it is the melty type, any can be used.
  • It’s best if the dip sits for a few minutes before serving.
  • I used Frank’s Hot Sauce for this recipe.
