“Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. . .” Psalm 17:8
Why Garlic & Parmesan?
I took a poll on Instagram one day in January asking followers what kind of wing recipe they would be interested in…and it was a close tie. One was for a sweet and spicy wing (See my Sweet & Heat Wings) and the other was for Garlic Parmesan Wings. To be honest, I never had a Garlic Parmesan Wing for two reasons: (1) I’m not a huge fan of a strong garlic taste and (2) I really like the traditional buffalo wing. So I had a challenge on my hands but I wanted to go ahead and give it a try. And I am so glad that I did! Garlic Parmesan Wings are amazing!!!!
Whenever we went to a Wing Restaurant, my daughter would always order Garlic Parmesan Boneless Wings. She doesn’t eat meat with bones. I know this is strange (well, to me it is!) but my brother is the same way. It must be a strange hereditary gene… and thank goodness I didn’t get it 🙂
Back to the Garlic Parmesan Boneless Wings… I was really never interested but most of the people at the table always raved about them. So they must be good and now I know they are.
What is also great about these wings is that they are baked not fried so hopefully they are a little bit healthier but you don’t have to mess with hot oil. No messy cleanup is always a bonus to me.
Because Garlic Parmesan Wings are so flavorful, you don’t need anything else with these wings. Maybe some carrot or celery sticks to make it healthier. 😉 Next time you’re in the mood for some wings, give these wings a try!
Mama Fawn’s Tips. . .
- Make sure you pat dry the wings before baking.
- Want to make a boneless wing? Toss chicken nuggets in the sauce instead of wings and bake as directed on the package.

2 lb chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
½ cup butter
1 tbsp minced garlic
¼ cup grated parmesan
¼ tsp dried parsley
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the wings in a large bowl and sprinkle the salt and garlic powder evenly over the wings. Place the wings on the lined baking sheet skin side up.
- Bake the wings for 30 minutes then remove from the oven and flip them. Continue to bake them for another 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, add the butter to a small saucepan and melt over low heat. Add the garlic and let ‘simmer’ for 5 minutes. Add the grated parmesan and dried parsley and whisk until combined. Simmer for about two more minutes and let take off heat.
- Remove the wing from the oven and place in a large bowl. Pour over the garlic parmesan butter and evenly coat all the wings. Place on a platter and serve warm with celery and carrot sticks. Enjoy!
