Seafood Pasta Salad is a creamy pasta salad filled with shrimp and surimi that would be perfect for your next luncheon or get together.
I love a good pasta salad. Well, to be honest, I like salad. I know I’ve said this before, but I really do like salad, and this is a good one.
I serve Seafood Pasta Salad every year for Christmas dinner. It’s a favorite of the family and it is so easy to prepare. Just a few ingredients and it makes a wonderful compliment to a meal, get together or lunch.
A friend of mine actually gave me this recipe to make for a women’s luncheon and I fell in love. (probably because it’s a salad 😉 ) I tweaked it a little and made it my own….and voila!
Mama Fawn’s Tips
- Make sure your pasta is fully cooled before adding the rest of ingredients.
- The original recipe called for frozen salad shrimp, that you thawed and drained. Feel free to use this if you have a hard time getting fresh shrimp.
- To cook the shrimp: bake shrimp that has been peeled and deveined at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
- The salad tastes best when it is fully chilled. Make sure you have time to refrigerate the salad before serving.
- You can find imitation crab in your seafood department.
